At Unity Health Center's Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine Center, we offer the latest in inpatient and outpatient rehabilitative services in physical therapy, sports medicine, speech therapy and occupational therapy. Our physical therapists are highly-trained and specialize in ensuring the smoothest and most effective course of therapy to relieve your pain and help you regain your strength.

These services are available on the North Campus and the Multi-Specialty Clinic location.

Physical Therapy
Unity Health Center therapists evaluate functional abilities, assess heart and lung functions, and determine the need for walking and recovery devices, such as canes or artificial limbs. Also, therapists measure the patient's ability to perform daily routines and teach patients and their families about exercises to promote self-care at home. The rehabilitation programs offered at Unity Health Center include inpatient acute care, stroke rehabilitation, cardiac rehabilitation, and work hardening.

Sports Medicine
The objective of sports medicine is to enable athletes to reach their maximum level of athletic performance while maintaining healthy form and good physical condition. Sports therapists teach athletes reconditioning after an injury, as well as preventive conditioning.

Speech Therapy
Speech therapies at Unity Health Center include communication problems, speech difficulties, language problems and swallowing disorders. Our speech therapists work with patients of all ages, ethnicity and vocal impediments to help them learn how to work through their specific condition.

Occupational Therapy
The occupational therapists at Unity Health Center use various activities and treatments to help patients manage and overcome disabling conditions due to disease, aging, disability or trauma. Therapies include daily living activities, endurance, safety, energy conservation, body mechanics, joint protection and work simplification.
