Information about patients is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week by calling the patient information desk. For the privacy and confidentiality of our patients, we will only provide the room and telephone number if you are a friend or family member and can provide us with the patient’s full name.
A brief update is available on the patient’s medical condition. Unity follows American Hospital Association guidelines. Patients are listed in one of four general categories: good, fair, serious or critical. Any further information is confidential.

• Right to participate in the development and implementation of his/her care plan and to actively participate in decisions regarding his/her medical care.
• Right to privacy concerning his/her medical care program.
• Right to expect confidential treatment of all communication and records pertaining to his/her care unless permission has been give to release information or reporting is required or permitted by law.
• Right to request the assistance of a language interpreter, or request a TDD (Telephone Device for the Deaf) if hearing impaired.
• Right to review their medical records and to have the information explained, except where restricted by law.
• Right to expect that the hospital will give necessary health services to the best of its ability.
